The aluminum-zinc alloy structure of aluminized-zinc steel sheet is formed by solidifying a mixture of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon at a high temperature of 600°C. The entire structure consists of an aluminum-iron-silicon-zinc composition, creating a dense quaternary crystalline phase that forms a robust barrier effectively preventing corrosive agents from penetrating. Tests conducted under identical outdoor conditions show that the service life of aluminized-zinc steel sheet is more than four times longer than that of galvanized steel sheet.
Aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets feature high thermal reflectivity, excellent heat resistance, and superior paint adhesion. Moreover, under the same weight and zinc coating thickness, aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets have an area that is more than 3% larger than that of galvanized steel sheets, offering greater cost-effectiveness. As a result, they are widely used in industries such as automotive, home appliances, and construction.
