Hegang Company launches its third-phase Lean Management project!
This year, downward economic pressures have intensified both domestically and internationally, leaving most privately-owned manufacturing enterprises struggling to stay afloat. As individual enterprises, we can’t change the external economic environment—but what we can influence is our own internal management capabilities and market service performance. To this end, Haigang Company has launched its third-phase Lean Management System Construction Project to enhance our competitive edge. 。
Lean management is an important management system in enterprise management. Its theoretical origins lie in Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan and were further developed by professors such as James Womack at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. Since its establishment, Haigang Company has attached great importance to the lean management philosophy in shaping the company’s operations. The company has undertaken two phases of lean management system development and has achieved certain successes in this regard.
On the morning of July 20, 2022, Tianjin Haigang Steel Coil Co., Ltd. held a kickoff meeting for its lean management project. Attending the meeting were Yu Maosong, General Manager of Haigang Company; Liu Chengxi, Director of the Production Department of Haigang; Sun Shuzeng, Deputy General Manager of Production at Haigang Yunyi; Gao, Director of the Safety Office at Haigang; Li, Chief Engineer of the Technical Division at Haigang; directors of various workshops and relevant leaders from all departments; members of the Haigang project team from Beijing Lixin Cheng Company; and personnel from various relevant departments of Haigang Yunyi.
Main contents of the meeting
1. Introduce the background of Hanghai Steel Company’s promotion of lean manufacturing, review the content of previous projects, and look ahead to the future blueprint for Hanghai Steel’s lean production.
2. Interpret the implementation plan for this project, which covers four key areas: deepening basic management, focusing on targeted improvements, and streamlining... From the four aspects of process streamlining and talent development.
3. Based on the established management zones, a total of 9 lean production implementation competition areas have been delineated.
4. Establish a management mechanism for the implementation of this project, comprising six management mechanisms: goal management mechanism, communication management mechanism, personnel development mechanism, planning and summary mechanism, evaluation mechanism, and incentive mechanism.
5. General Manager Yu personally presented target responsibility letters to the heads of each regional office.
6. The person in charge of each implementation team shall take an oath to ensure that the goals are achieved.
At the end of the meeting, the general manager provided comments and instructions:
1. Thank you to the consulting team for your efforts. Let me introduce the development history of HaiGang’s lean production and look forward to further improving ourselves in the future.
2. Put forward requirements for Yunyi’s lean work.
3. We set requirements for members of the Lean Project Promotion Team and for employees of Haigang Steel, urging them to persistently advance the lean production initiative. This marks the official launch of the company’s new lean production project.
