The production process of galvanized strip steel

Galvanized strip steel, as a commonly used material, finds extensive applications across various industries. During the manufacturing process, galvanized strip steel undergoes a highly rigorous procedure involving multiple production steps. Now, let’s take a closer look at the production process of galvanized strip steel. The first step is to use an acid pickling process to clean and remove impurities from the surface of the strip steel. If dirt and rust on the surface are not thoroughly removed, they could potentially interfere with the subsequent galvanizing process. Typically, the entire coil of strip steel is uncoiled, then subjected to acid pickling and subsequently rinsed to ensure a clean and smooth surface. The second step involves using a rolling mill to reduce the strip steel to the desired thickness and to achieve a smooth surface finish. Once rolling is complete, the next step is galvanizing. The galvanizing process itself is quite straightforward: simply immerse the strip steel into a hot-dip bath, carefully controlling the time and temperature, to obtain a smooth and uniform coating. Finally, after winding it up and storing it in the warehouse, the process is complete. The thickness of the galvanized layer is not fixed; it can be customized according to different customer requirements.
