Detailed introduction to galvanized sheet materials and their main applications

Detailed introduction to galvanized sheet materials and their main applications:
1. Non-aluminum alloy hot-dip galvanized steel strip
DC5XD series products: These can be used for general purposes and are also suitable for deep drawing and hemming applications. The higher the zinc content in the galvanized coating on the surface, the better the corrosion resistance; conversely, the lower the zinc content in the galvanized coating, the better the formability and processability.
SXXXGD series products: Suitable for structural applications, featuring excellent processing performance and corrosion resistance.
HXXXPD Z Series Products: These include high-alloy steels, phosphorus-containing steels, and hardfacing steels, all of which exhibit excellent machinability and corrosion resistance.
2. Fine-grain strengthened hot-dip galvanized strip steel
DCXXD ZF series products can be used for structural applications, stamping dies, and cold forming. The galvanized sheets made from this material exhibit superior weldability and coating adhesion properties; however, during the manufacturing and processing stages, the galvanized layer tends to peel off easily.
Detailed Classification of Galvanized Steel Sheets:
1. Fine-grain strengthened galvanized steel sheet: This type of steel sheet, produced using the hot-dip method, boasts excellent weldability and adhesion performance.
2. Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet: It is a thin steel sheet with a layer of zinc adhered to its surface, and its production process involves continuous hot-dip galvanizing.
3. Electro-galvanized steel sheet: This method involves applying an electric current to the steel sheet for hot-dip galvanizing. However, the zinc coating obtained by this method is relatively thin and has poorer corrosion resistance.
4. Single-sided galvanized steel sheet: This type of steel sheet is galvanized on only one side. Whether used for manufacturing, coating, or welding, it exhibits better adaptability than steel sheets galvanized on both sides.
5. Two-sided galvanized steel sheet: While single- and double-sided galvanized steel sheets still have certain drawbacks, to overcome these shortcomings, an additional thin layer of zinc is applied to the other side of the steel sheet—this is known as two-sided galvanized steel sheet.
6. Composite galvanized steel sheet: In addition to pure steel, the internal raw materials also include alloy steel sheets composed of metals such as lead and aluminum, which are then coated with a layer of zinc on their surface. This type of steel sheet offers superior corrosion resistance and excellent spray-coating performance.
